In the Beginning…
Joginder Kaur Dang was the heart of her family and her community. She welcomed everyone with warmth and generosity, and she believed that no one should ever have to face hardship alone.
When Joginder was diagnosed with leukemia, a cancer of the blood, she faced her illness with courage and grace. On November 11, 2017, she passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and service that continues to guide everyone who knew her.
A legacy that keeps growing
In her honor, her family and friends came together with one purpose: to support organizations that care for cancer patients and their families, so that others walking the same difficult road would feel the same love and support that surrounded Joginder.
That shared purpose became One Team One Dream. What began as a tribute has grown into a community movement. Today, alongside our support for people fighting cancer, we run initiatives that fight hunger and uplift communities across New Jersey, bringing neighbors of every age and background together as one team.
What we do in her honor
Supporting people fighting cancer
Where it all began. We support organizations that bring care, comfort and hope to cancer patients and their families, including The Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer.
Fighting hunger
No neighbor should go hungry. Our events support partners such as TASK, the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, which feeds those who are hungry in the Trenton area.
Bringing people together
Run As One unites neighbors of every background, alongside partners like ONE Project and BeKind, to celebrate equality, peace and respect.
Healthy families and communities
Marathon in a Month and our new Pickleball Leagues get families moving, playing and building community together.
